I was very disappointed with the services or should I say lack of services I received from this firm. If you want to be ignored for months or years at a time, belittled about your disability, how it affects your everyday life, called stupid, or be informed that your education is an exclusion to you receiving your benefits. Then this is the firm for you!! Her legal, NOT medical degree, OPINION and judgment of you is all that matters. She says you are not disabled or qualified for benefits if you are able to write a descriptive letter explaining your disability to SSI, even though that's exactly what SSI is requesting you do when submitting your application.

They were unresponsive to my dire need for assistance in requesting a hearing. After retaining their services, I went another 1yr with no correspondence after signing the retainer. I was informed later, that SSI didn't know I was supposed to be represented by them and I had to file my claim and start the waiting process all over again. I must say it was fascinating to watch SSI blame the attorney and the attorney blame SSI for the lapse of attention paid to my case. Very unprofessional in my opinion. The ball was dropped for 2yr by the Firm, which was precious time I thought was spent waiting for SSI to review my documents, when they never sent SSI anything on my behalf to begin with.

After they acknowledged that they dropped the ball, they had to refile, post date application to my original date, and start my waiting process all over again, all again with no correspondence for another year.

Frustrated with the delay in having my case tended to, I asked if there was any chance of getting the case expedited due to the multiple issues of SSI claiming they never received my paperwork, appeals, or hearing request. I was advised by my attorney's paralegal to call Senantor Chris Coons office and speak to them about having it expedited. They promptly responded with the information and necessary documents to send them for him to grant me the expedited hearing. I emailed my attorney for advice on what the Senantor's office was requesting, that went ignored, and gave me no guidance on what to include for the Senantor. Once I sent the Senantor (and copied the attorney) the documents, my attorney promptly called me to reprimand me for sending the letter without her review, even though she ignored my request for assistance before sending it. She then tells me that "None of her other clients would be able to compose a letter like the one I sent in", basically inferring that none of her other clients were mentally or physically competent or educated enough to write a 4pg (in a 14pt font size which equates to a 2pg letter in normal business font of 11pt) business letter explaining dire need for a hearing. Due to my ability to write a letter, she then proceeded to tell me that I wasn't disabled in her eyes or the eyes of SSI and that I would be able to find employment as a "Nut Counter" at the very least.

Instead of advocating on my behalf, she excused herself and terminated my case that was initially filed in July 2017, just as SSI was going to give me an expedited hearing from my letter I wrote, that her other clients were "too stupid or unable to write" for themselves. We are now approaching July 2021 and I still don't have a hearing scheduled.

DON'T BE "STUPID" USE ANOTHER FIRM if you're in need of reliable representation for your SSI/Disability case.

I can’t say enough about Cynthia Pruitt. As an attorney I trust her 100%. Cynthia is caring, trusting, experienced and very professional! Her Paralegal Lisa is also very professional and an asset to Ms. Pruitt.

I am very disappointed with this law firm, I was sent to this firm by a service for social security disability assistance. I previously filed before and I was sadly denied because they have no clue about actual disability. I was advised that I was an excellent candidate to get approved with my disability, but I needed to get a form filled out first by my doctor. Well the doctor actually cannot fill out this form, I actually have to go to a place that does not deal with insurance and this supposed test will cost $250?!? Who has that to just hand out?? I am unable to work and my only income is caring for my father at $10.75 an hour for 20hrs a week as long as he is home and not in the hospital. I don't have that kind of money and they did nothing to assist me with this issue. So how are they helping the truly disabled with getting their ss disability that they have paid into and are entitled to it?? They are not. Smh I do not recommend going here, but it is ultimately your decision. Good luck..????
