I have hired John Chapman on four occasions. Each time, he has responded quickly, was thorough in his upfront questions, worked diligently to find the best and quickest resolution for my benefit and was in regular communication. Not only does Mr. Chapman know the law and is a proficient negotiator, he is a compassionate person who cares about his clients. I have felt confident in referring the Chapman Firm to colleagues and all have reported high satisfaction with his work.

In my opinion not the best lawyer. I had a really bad experience with Mr. Chapman. Not going into details but i would defiantly recommend looking for different representation. If the person that represents you is as greedy as the person you up against you already lost. (This is a personal opinion)

This is a very unfair characterization and, while lawyer confidentiality obligations prevent me from being specific, evidences the lack of appreciation for the time and resources devoted to your case that forced us to withdraw. This said, I am terribly sorry that your case did not work out better for you and hope you can find some closure in the future.

This review is for John Chapman Law Firm of Sarasota FL, specifically related to construction defect (558 claim). John is friendly, professional, methodical, intelligent and knows how the system works. He understands that the battle is usually uphill and didn't lead us down false roads of hope. He realistically advised us on the best course of action, both for financial and strategic reasons, and that is to make whole a person or family that was (on a mass scale) the unintentional victim of shody construction and craftsmanship of unnamed builder. John is a good man plain and simple. Trust him and let him do his job and in the end he'll do his best to make things right. No need for a big broker house law firm. I would recommend John if you have a 558 construction defect from poor workmanship or other related new home construction issues. Thanks John, I was paying attention...

John Chapman took care of all of my legal documents including power of attorney, health care surrogate, living will and revokable trust, and some other business related documents.. He has also provided excellent follow-up and advice. He is very patient and thorough. I would say that his fees are reasonable. I have also referred him several of my patients for their legal issues. I can report that my patients were 100% satisfied with the services and handling other their legal needs. I will continue to recommend him to my patients and my friends. Thanks John!

Arrogant and cannot be trusted in my honest opinion. There are many other more reputable attorney's in Sarasota County. I would look elsewhere. He seemed to have taken advantage of my wealthy elderly client in many ways.

Ms. P, we don't know who you are and are at a loss as to whom you are referring. Given this and that your review was posted at 2:30 am I believe you may have us confused with another attorney.

Excellent and well respected Sarasota Attorney. I think it's critical to have a local attorney that really knows the ins and outs of the local system. John is certainly that. He's connected to the community and has a well deserved reputation for results. When you're looking for representation here in Sarasota it'd be difficult to find someone with equal experience, connections and local influence.
