Kelly and her team are like a lighthouse in a storm. Divorce is a trying and scary event to navigate, and Kelly is a calming force. She is quietly powerful and has the experience and background to guide you through this difficult time. I am so thankful to have worked with Kelly. Many times she was the grounding force that I needed. I completely trust her and her team.

Kelly is the best lawyer I have ever dealt with. She has helped me several times in custody issues. She's responsive, kind and personable when you speak to her but a true fighter for her clients. If you need legal help she is worth every red cent.

Kelly and her team were extremely helpful and knowledgeable in my family law contempt case. She got matters settled quickly and fairly. Anyone who has had to deal with family law/co-parenting knows that that kind of timely outcome is rare, especially during Covid restrictions! I appreciate her compassion as well as her professionalism, I have and will continue to recommend her to friends as needed. She's worth every penny.

I highly advise against consulting with this firm if you are in need of any type of representation regarding family law as she is turning away cases and "cherry picking" cases based on her own preference and not based a potential client's needs.
In addition, I am an associate of Jana H who also left a review and I can attest to the fact that she followed all instructions, and was told she now had representation when in reality, her calls were ignored and only returned by office staff. Meanwhile she was berated by her soon to be ex husbands lawyer and continually made attempts to speak directly with Ms McNeal who pretty much left her on "read".
It's heartbreaking to watch people in need, be strung along while they wait for assistance and are left out to dry by a professional who took money, and gave verbal confirmation that she had accepted the case. I am appalled at the response left by McNeal, who shows no remorse or compassion for a potential client and even goes so far as to insinuate any of this was to the fault of the potential client.

YOU have never personally used our services. Further, part of the advice we give to all clients is to not disclose discussions between lawyer and client to any 3rd parties. Clearly, by your post, your friend failed to follow that advice, potentially waiving attorney/client privilege. Your "review" then opens up the potential of her spouse getting said information. So, probably not the wisest choice to leave such a review. Further, yes, as a private business, we can and do select which clients we want based on the facts of the case, and which ones we don't. Clearly, we made the right decision in your friend's case.

I called to retain Kelly McNeal a couple months after I did a paid consultation for a divorce. Her front desk person said she would call me back. After not hearing from her for a day I called and was told she had accepted my case and she was getting my paperwork together. After waiting for almost 3 weeks with two messages left that were never returned, I called and the same person told me she was not sure if she was going to take my case and wanted additional information. I was taken back but answered her questions. I'm now telling a front desk person personal info about my case which felt very unprofessional and made me uncomfortable. To my surprise I received a call back the next day! Wow, they finally called me back but to say she was "straying away from family law and was cherry picking her cases". I was devastated. I asked please for my consultation money back for she willing took it as she could take my case and now that she is not will she please return my money. I have called twice about this refund with NO response.
Going through a divorce is terrible but the way this firm treated me was horrific. Let it be known if you are wanting a divorce attorney do not go here. I'm in the health care profession and I would never ever imagine treating one of my patients the way her front desk person treated me. Kelly McNeal Legal took my money and then refused to help me.
Kelly has never reached out to me on this matter despite numerous attempts from me. Her front desk staff is terrible. Very rude. Doesn't return messages and even lied to me about my case.
I don't want anyone to go through what I did with this firm.

The Florida Bar limits what information we can utilize to reply. With that in mind, this person sought our advice, was given advice, failed to follow it, and then, 3 months later, sought to hire us. We do not take on clients that fail to follow our legal advice during and after a consultation. We do not offer refunds for consultations that took place 3 months prior, where a case is reviewed, discussed, and legal advice is given.

I've worked with Kelly since 2013, and would recommend her to anyone for family law related matters. She is incredibly knowledgeable, has a genuine interest in the outcomes of her clients, and is supported by an extremely professional and caring team.
