When L. Brook Stuntebeck (Brook) graduated from Georgia State Law School she did what many new lawyers do – she joined a huge firm. The kind that throws tons of cases from tons of different areas of the law at young associates on the theory that they are equally indefatigable and replaceable.
Brook thrived in her ‘corporate law’ environment while concentrating mostly on civil matters where she had virtually no contact with clients. She started helping out a senior partner on a few family law cases and found she liked it – and she loved working with clients and families.
