An important lesson Jay and I learned over three decades ago was that bankruptcy is extremely scary for those who do not live it (like bankruptcy attorneys). We also realized and understood that something scary makes people have a difficult time handling their daily lives, which leads to health issues or family conflicts. Our job is to help all our clients understand their options, which might include bankruptcy. Mediocre lawyer, even worse person. So many better options out there. Do yourself a favor and use anyone else. I felt like I was forced to do all the work, I Went along with what she wanted but wish I would have picked someone else.

I appreciate every client who takes the time to leave a review (95% of the reviews are great, but occasionally one is not). Yes, if you wanted to work with me, you were "forced" to do some work. You were required to gather information about your debts and financial history. You were required to participate in two meetings (spending several hours working with me on your case). You were asked to do that because you are the only person who knows the specifics of your life and I would not be doing my job if I just downloaded your credit report and did not have your involvement in gathering and confirming everything detailed in 60+ pages that make up your bankruptcy. My goal is to make certain your bankruptcy helps you get a fresh start in life. That means educating all my clients as they move through the practical and legal issues related to bankruptcy. Including, what happened in their lives to force them to call me. Many times their financial situation is completely outside their control (death of a spouse, medical bills, unemployment, business disruption, COVID, to name a few) and they just need to move on to a better life. As to your statement about the reviews - I have never used a bot to prepare any review, nor have I ever paid anyone to prepare reviews. With a few exceptions, my clients, or those I help who don't need to become a client, take the time to leave a review because they want others to learn that bankruptcy is not the end of the world. They want to share with others that they were able to find a fresh start for their future. In the past year there have been a few reviews drafted by a disbarred attorney, and his staff, with false statements. This disbarred attorney abandoned hundreds of desperate clients, even stealing from some of them. I don't believe you are related to this disbarred attorney because, a few days ago (using the same email you used on this review), you reviewed Title Max Loans, mentioning that you were not happy with them, but really needed money. I am so sorry to hear that you find yourself back in a financial bind. I don't know if it will help, but please take a look at the articles I sent you with tips on rebuilding your credit. Bankruptcy is not an easy undertaking and there is a lot of paperwork you have to gather before filing so be prepared and do not get annoyed because Diane and Jay will guide you every step of the way. Try looking at it as a valuable learning experience to get you back on the right track to financial stability. They answered all our questions patiently and thoroughly explained the legal processes and what we could expect so there were no surprises. Tom - your wonderful review gave me goose-bumps :-). Thank you for detailing how we work with our clients. You confirmed that my focus on education is extremely helpful to clients, like yourselves, who want to understand how bankruptcy works. As I always say to young bankruptcy attorneys - the bankruptcy belongs to the clients, not the attorney. Clients have a right to be fully educated about their options, which might include bankruptcy, and the benefits and consequences of those choices. Diane and Jay have been wonderful to work with. I found them after paying Scott Forrester $2,000 and then found out he was disbarred. Diane helped me file a complaint and ask the State Bar for my money back. She then helped me file a bankruptcy and stop my creditor from garnishing my wages. Wow - she is an angel.
