More About David Blackwell Law - Indian Land

Attorney David Blackwell is dedicated to helping people whose lives have been affected by the negligence of others. Serving clients is a responsibility he takes seriously, and David is grateful that he is able to use his skills and knowledge to find positive legal solutions and rewarding outcomes for individuals and families.

After obtaining his undergraduate degree in accountancy from South Carolina's Wofford College, David earned his law degree from the University of South Carolina School of Law. During his legal education, David worked with the South Carolina Attorney General's Office, where he received valuable knowledge and practical skills that prepared him to better serve his clients.

In 2003, David initiated his own law practice. David's areas of focus include auto accidents, motorcycle accidents, wrongful death, slip and falls, unsafe premises, workplace injuries, and probate litigation. He has years of experience with the litigation process, including evidentiary hearings, trials, discovery, mediation, settlement negotiations, and management of unique legal challenges.

David is a certified mediator in the Circuit Court of South Carolina and is certified to practice law in the Federal District Court and the Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals. David is a member of the South Carolina Bar Association, the Trial Lawyers Association, and the Lancaster County Bar Association. He also serves as a business law professor at the University of South Carolina, Lancaster Campus.

Community involvement and service have always played a large role in David's life. He enjoys coaching soccer and helped establish a local board for the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He served as mayor of Kershaw and is currently active on a variety of boards and foundations. He also became involved in a program that provides food for children on weekends after learning about student hunger through his wife, who has served as a teacher, principal, and director in the Lancaster County School District. He and his wife have two grown children.
